WASHINGTON, DC — The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) is announcing its continuing participation in a nationwide effort to provide online training modules to healthcare workers on the frontlines of infection control by announcing the launch of a new resource website dedicated to Project Firstline, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) national training collaborative for infection prevention and control (IPC).

Project Firstline helps prepare and educate healthcare workers and the public health workforce to protect themselves, their patients, and their communities from infectious disease threats with various resources, from training webinars to collect data. While NNPHI continues to leverage and engage its extensive network and deep relationships in the public health sector to engage professionals across the country in this critically important initiative, CDC and other partners will also bring experience in infection control to this training collaborative.

“As a proud partner of Project Firstline, we are excited about the new resources developed to make infection prevention and control education more accessible to our public health IPC workforce,” explained Director of Emergency Preparedness, Readiness, and Response Diana Hamer. “NNPHI has recently relaunched our Project Firstline site and plan to continue bringing the public health workforce these types of important resources throughout the coming months.”
